Salary: $87,100 - 157,450 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree with at least 8 years of experience in DoD enterprise environments, or a masters degree with at least 6 years of experience in DoD enterprise environments.
• We require an active DoD Secret security clearance.
• We require strong written communication skills and excellent verbal communication skills.
• We require a technical cloud architecture background and experience with VDI technologies and/or published desktop solutions.
• We prefer experience with AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure GovCloud.
• We prefer cloud architecture experience with VMWare View/Horizon, Citrix Provisioning Server, Citrix Storefront, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Amazon WorkSpaces.

• We lead the team supporting desktop virtualization, including the development and technical delivery of VDI and published desktop solutions.
• We create sustainment strategies, white papers, and design plans for moving physical desktop environments to VDI or published desktop platforms.
• We serve as subject matter experts for cloud computing technologies, including AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure GovCloud.
• We prepare briefing materials and demo environments to help leadership and stakeholders choose the best desktop virtualization approach.
• We install and configure hardware and software for virtual desktop systems using industry best practices where applicable.
• We develop secure gold and platinum baseline images for current and newly released operating systems.
• We test new VDI software versions in pre-production labs, including regression testing on standard configurations.
• We recommend and carry out system-wide upgrades in pre-production and production environments through established change management processes.
• We maintain standard configurations and keep patch and platform versions current across lab and production systems.
• We provide 24x7 technical support for containerization technologies to support fast issue resolution and high availability.
• We assist with the architectural design and engineering of cloud technologies, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
• We produce documentation for architecture, deployment, implementation, installation, and configuration of cloud technologies.
• We support IAVA, STIG, and other DoD policy implementations and documentation for cloud platforms, including RA and RMF activities.
• We help develop accreditation packages under the DoD Risk Management Framework and work toward achieving ATO approval.
• We maintain architecture diagrams, network boundary diagrams, and installation configuration guides.
• We collaborate closely with team members, including issue tracking, prioritization of onsite production tasks, reporting, and site summaries.
• We may coordinate with external parties such as subcontractors, vendors, and government stakeholders.
• We help influence project and team leaders on solution design, process, and delivery approaches.
• We provide Tier 3 engineering support for help desk issues in production.
• We work toward key project and program objectives and deliverables.
• We manage projects or processes that span multiple technical areas.
• We apply creativity and ingenuity to develop new technical solutions and systems that meet functional goals.

We are anticipating new work with Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic in support of the Defense Health Enterprise Application and Desktop Virtualization Support Group and the Clinical Information Modernization Integrated Product Team. Our primary customer is the Defense Health Agency, which supports a worldwide network of military hospitals and health clinics serving the Department of Defense TRICARE system for service members and their families. This role is focused on the Clinical Infrastructure Modernization Program Lifecycle Environment project in support of the Datacenter Operations Program, delivering enterprise infrastructure and professional IT services across the DHA Private Cloud, Application Virtualization Hosting Environment, and DevSecOps Community Cloud platforms. The position is 100% located in Charleston, South Carolina. We also offer a competitive pay range of $87,100 to $157,450, with compensation determined by experience, education, skills, and other applicable factors.
